Spirit of the Horse was created for youth to build confidence, leadership, and life skills while staying connected to their culture.
Many young people face limited access to mentorship and development opportunities that reflect who they are and where they come from.
This program addresses that gap through horsemanship, cultural teachings, and community mentorship. The program is designed for girls ages 12 to 15 and includes hands-on horsemanship learning. Horses serve as the teacher, helping youth develop boundaries, situational awareness, emotional awareness, and self trust while strengthening their connection to culture, community, and themselves.
Participants leave with increased confidence, practical riding skills, and a stronger sense of identity, belonging, and personal responsibility.
What your child will gain
Spirit of the Horse provides youth with more than riding skills. Through horsemanship, leadership development and barrel racing fundamentals, participants gain confidence, discipline, responsibility, and mentorship in a supportive environment that strengthens both personal growth and community connection.
